About the Campaign

The University of Missouri System’s “Advancing Missouri” campaign—officially launched in January 2011—is designed to raise internal and external awareness statewide of the aggregate impact of the system’s four campuses, extension and health care enterprise on the state of Missouri. 

The campaign is designed to achieve:

Greater awareness and appreciation for the university’s historic land-grant mission;

Greater awareness of the university’s unique ability to advance the state of Missouri in myriad dimensions—from education and innovation to health, culture and economic development;

Greater public and private support for funding needs across the system; and

Greater engagement with key stakeholder groups who can serve as ambassadors for systemwide needs and objectives.
