University of Missouri alumni who will be on the November ballot:

Statewide race:

• State auditor: Primary winners include Republican Sandra Thomas and Democrat Susan Montee, both of whom are UMKC graduates.

 

Congressional races:

• District 2: George “Boots” Weber, a Democrat from St. Louis, attended MU.
• District 3: Incumbent Russ Carnahan, a Democrat, holds undergraduate and law degrees from MU.
• District 4: Incumbent Ike Skelton, a Democrat, is an MU graduate.
• District 5: Republican challenger Jacob Turk is an UMKC alum.
• District 6: Incumbent Sam Graves, a Republican, is an MU graduate.
• District 8: Democrat Veronica Hambacker is an MU alum.
• District 9: Incumbent Kenny Hulshof, a Republican, and Democratic challenger Duane Burghard are MU graduates.

State Senate:

Senate races with University of Missouri alums that are contested in November include:

• 2nd, Sen. Scott Rupp (R-Wentzville) faces Rep. Wayne Henke (D-Troy). Both are MU graduates.
• 6th, Sen. Carl Vogel (R-Jefferson City) is an MU graduate. He faces Democrat Ronald Bonar.
• 8th, Sen. Matt Bartle (R-Lee’s Summit), an MU graduate, faces UMKC graduate Jason Norbury, a Democrat.
• 10th, Democrat Jolie Justis, who attended MU and received a law degree from UMKC, will face Republican Jerry Mounts.
• 18th, Democrat Wes Shoemyer, a House member from Clarence, is facing Republican Bob Behnen of Kirksville. Shoemyer has attended classes at MU.
• 20th, Sen. Dan Clemens, R-Springfield, faces Democrat Barbie Kreider-Adams. Clemens is an MU graduate.
• 24th, Sen. Joan Bray (D-St. Louis) will face Republican John Maupin, an MU graduate.
• 30th, Incumbent Republican Norma Champion faces former House member and Democrat Doug Harpool, an MU graduate.
• 34th, Sen. Charlie Shields (R-St. Joseph), an MU graduate, faces Democrat David Mason, also an MU graduate.

The winners of the above races will join 11 other senators who have University of Missouri degrees but were not up for re-election this year. These incumbents include Harry Kennedy, D-St. Louis (UMSL); John Loudon, R-Kirkwood (MU); Yvonne Wilson, D-Kansas City (UMKC); Tim Green, D-St. Louis (UMSL); Luann Ridgeway, R-Liberty (UMKC); Bill Stouffer, R-Marshall (MU); Chuck Gross, R-St. Charles (MU); Rob Mayer, R-Dexter (UMKC); Jason Crowell, R-Cape Girardeau (MU); Jack Goodman, R-Mt. Vernon (MU); and Chris Koster, R-Harrisonville (MU).

All 163 House seats are up for election in November. The candidates listed below are UM alums who do not face a major party opponent in November. Incumbents are designated with an asterisk.
