David R. Bradley
David R. Bradley of St. Joseph, Mo., was appointed to the University of Missouri Board of Curators in 2009 by Gov. Jay Nixon.
Bradley graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science. He has held numerous positions at the News-Press & Gazette Company of St. Joseph, of which he is now Chief Executive Officer.
A native of St. Joseph, Bradley is an active member of the community, having served as past president of the Northwest Missouri Press Association, past chairman of the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the board of directors of the St. Joseph Business Park Corporation, among other positions. He is also past president of the Missouri Press Association, a member of the board of directors of UMB Financial Corporation and the Inland Press Association, and a trustee of the Midwest Research Institute.
Bradley served as chairman of the University of Missouri Board of Curators in 2012.
"I would like to see the University of Missouri accelerate its research in cooperation with Missouri companies to generate an increase in resources for our university system. This effort not only will help our society prosper but also will enable the university to continue to provide a valuable education to Missouri students at a reasonable cost."
