11/17/99 USSIP41P Execute Instructions Enhanced Missouri Student Achievement Study 07/09/98 Y2K phase 4 - changed name of m4 step to ssip41 for standardization (efm) 10/15/98 IMS 5.1 conversion (efm) 11/17/99 Audit reports added for invalid EMSAS DEGREE LEVEL V07 (DEGREE) and invalid birthdate (DOBIRTH). Any invalid (ie. blank) DEGREE value will default to 'UN' for undeclared degree-seeking or nondegree-seeking. Any invalid birthdate (as determined by a calculated age which must not be less than 12) will be set to all zeros (EMSAS value for unknown). This Mark IV program creates records for the Enhanced Missouri Student Achievement Study registration file. The production file is to be used as input and the program will be run after each major term (FS, WS, SP, SS) has been finalized and the degrees awarded for that term have been entered. The USSIP41P procedure writes data for each campus to a sequential dataset with logical record length of 170. The Mark IV file definition for this extract file is 'SSIP41FD' and is located in CORE.M4LIB. Students will be included in the EMSAS registration file if they were enrolled in at least one course for the term or formally withdrew from the university during the term. The CBHE requires that a report containing audit counts be submitted along with each term registration extract file. The CBHE will use these counts to ensure that the extract files were transmitted to the CBHE in their entirety. The required counts are contained in a report output to the alternate M4LIST1.
