ASUM Speaks at STEM Symposium

ASUM’s Corbin Evans was a panelist at the University of Missouri’s Connecting Politics & Science, an academic symposium and conference on the importantance of a greater STEM focus in higher education policy.

Evans spoke about the progress of ASUM’s current STEM initiative, as well as the climate in the state legislature in regard to increased STEM education for Missouri’s future.

The panel, entitled “The Role, Implementation, and Funding of STEM Education in the U.S.” also featured panel seats for Alan Ladwig, with Public Research at NASA Headquarters; Dr. Troy Sadler, Director of the MU Science Education Center; Dr. Anna Waldron, Director of the MU Office of Science Research; and Craig Adams, Coordinator for Practical Arts at the Columbia Area Career Center.
