ASUM’s Corbin Evans Speaks at Community Budget Event

The Associated Students of the University of Missouri (ASUM) was a participant in public budget discussions at the MO State Capitol today, via the Progress Missouri Bake Sale. The event was held to raise public awareness of the caveats surrounding the state budget appropriations process.

Evans spoke about the need for greater appropriations for higher education. (Click for more information on the state budget appropriations cycle or ASUM’s legislative platform.)

ASUM joined community voices from the Missouri Health Advocacy Alliance, Missouri Civic Engagement Table, Missouri NEA, Missouri Jobs with Justice, Missouri Faith Voices, the Missouri Budget Project, Progress Missouri, Missourians for Tax Justice, and the Communications Workers of America Local #6355.
