ImageNow Integration with PeopleSoft Means Savings
ImageNow, UM’s enterprise document imaging system, reduces or eliminates reliance on paper documents and forms, increasing efficiency and lowering costs. Did you know that ImageNow can also integrate with PeopleSoft (PS) to streamline your workflows and extend your savings?
Functional and IT staff are now investigating the use of ImageNow with Accounts Payable (AP). Integrating PS AP and ImageNow will, among other things:
• enable UM departments to upload non-purchase order voucher-related documents to ImageNow for AP processing via PS
• leverage a PS-generated barcode to automatically index uploaded documents
• provide one-click access to view a PS voucher record image
• route PS vouchers with their related imaged documents for electronic approval

Progress Report on PeopleSoft Upgrades
PeopleSoft upgrades involve a significant amount of work—mostly testing—by both DoIT technical, campus, and system functional staff. We especially want to ensure that all local customizations function correctly with the software upgrade. Currently we have two major upgrades under way, and everyone involved is working hard to ensure that they are on time and within budget.
• Prompted by a change in our vendor’s support model, we began the process of upgrading PeopleSoft Campus Solutions to version 9.0. in February 2010. The planned go-live for this upgrade is December 2010. The upgrade will greatly simplify application management, but will not add significant changes to functionality.
• On April 30, 2010, the project to upgrade PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) to version 9.1 began. Planned go-live for the upgraded HCM is spring 2011. You will see significantly new functionality in a number of areas, as well as reliability and ease-of-use improvements.
