Collections of objects and people make up the University of Missouri’s teaching museum.
The University of Missouri-Columbia’s Museum of Art and Archaeology, the only accredited museum in central Missouri, works to make the arts accessible to students, staff, faculty and the community. Their many programs—including the statewide Missouri Folk Arts Program, the online “eMuseum,” and the museum’s extensive educational programs—give exposure to the arts a cultural and intellectual perspective across their many publics. Watch Dr. Alex Barker, director of the Museum of Art and Archaeology, to hear more about this special institution.
