The University of Missouri System is pleased to announce the first-of-its-kind Missouri Regional Life Sciences Summit. Led by the University of Missouri-Columbia and hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City, the theme of the summit is Animal to Human Health Collaborations: Partnerships for Innovation.
Research and scientific discovery, economic development and partnerships throughout the region will be explored during the summit.
Designed for scientific, business and civic leaders, the summit will draw on the strengths of the Midwest's Animal Health Corridor. It will strengthen collaborations between researchers and the business sector that will leverage research in translational and comparative medicine, bioinformatics and disease prevention, to name a few.
A host of prestigious institutions, including Kansas State University, Washington University, the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, the University of Kansas, Stowers Institute for Medical Research, the Kauffman Foundation and the Midwest Research Institute, will join us for the Missouri Regional Life Sciences Summit. With the support of the University of Missouri System and these esteemed institutions, the Missouri Regional Life Sciences Summit promises to be the can’t-miss event of 2010.
