Kevin Brown is an assistant professor of Theatre at the University of Missouri, specializing in performance studies and digital media, is a contributing editor for the International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media, and has published in the Journal of Religion and Theatre, Puppetry International, and Popular Entertainment Studies. He has contributed chapters to the Greenwood Encyclopedia of World Popular Culture and Music in American Life: An Encyclopedia of the Song, Styles, Stars, and Stories that Shaped Our Culture. Brown has been a director, actor, designer and producer of theatre for over 20 years. Before coming to academia, Brown worked as a computer developer during the rise of the Internet for Paramount Digital Entertainment, NetLibrary and MediaLab.
