Heidi Holtz joined the Sinclair School of Nursing faculty in August 2010 after completing her master’s work in the Nurse Educator tract at Webster University. Her research area of interest is in incivility in nursing education. She has taught at various schools in the Kansas City area prior to coming to Sinclair School of Nursing. She has a background working in adult Intensive Care Units and continues to practice part-time in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital. Currently, Holtz is a co-coordinator for Medical/Surgical Nursing in the baccalaureate program at Sinclair School of Nursing. She is also a faculty advisor for the Student Nurses Association and is a faculty advisor for the freshmen nursing interest groups. She enjoys working with students and her career passion is to continue teaching undergraduate students.
