Jeimmie D. Nevalga is an assistant professor at the Missouri School of Journalism. She joined the Radio-TV faculty in February 2011 and is currently team-teaching Broadcast News III. She is also the supervising producer at KOMU-TV where her biggest role is teaching and mentoring the reporters and producers. Nevalga spent 12 years producing TV news before becoming a professor. She worked for WISN 12, the ABC affiliate in Milwaukee from 2000 to 2005. She then returned to her hometown of Chicago where she became an executive producer for CLTV and later senior producer at WGN-TV. This year Nevalga was able to combine her love of traveling, teaching and journalism by lecturing to two media groups in China. Nevalga is also the faculty adviser to two student organizations; the Filipino American Student Association (FASA) and Ladies Empowering and Advocating Diversity (LEAD). Nevalga graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in 2000.
