Selective Administrative Achievements
- Developed cooperative academic and research programs involving partnerships both among campuses of the University of Missouri and with public and private campuses outside of the University System.
- Served as the University System liaison for an NSF program designed to increase participation of minorities in fields of science, engineering and mathematics.
- Worked with community colleges to improve transfer and articulation programs. Appointed to the state committee on transfer and articulation.
- Expanded and reorganized the technology transfer activities by forming a partnership among the UM campuses.
- Co-developed the President’s Academic Leadership Institute (PALI).
- Launched K-16 efforts in the state working with the State Board of Education; the Coordinating Board for Higher Education; and the University of Missouri Board of Curators.
- Started an early-career development program and that promoted learner-centered environments for new faculty hires (New Faculty Teaching Scholars Program).
