President's Award for Research and Creativity 2009

For a Sustained Recognized Record of Research and Creativity

 

Purpose

To honor a University of Missouri faculty member for a sustained nationally and internationally recognized record of research and/or creativity.

 

Award Amount

The award carries a stipend of $15,000, less applicable taxes.


Eligibility

Nominees must be full-time, regular faculty members who have been employed by the University of Missouri for at least five years prior to September 1, 2008. Each campus may submit one nomination.

 

Nomination Format

There is no standard format for nominations. Nominations should include a cover letter summarizing the nominee's research and/or creative accomplishments, an up-to-date curriculum vita, and other supporting evidence of nationally and internationally recognized research and/or creativity. Campuses are asked to limit the number of reference letters to no more than 15. Please include a list of the references submitting supporting letters which indicates each reference's relationship to the nominee and include any information about each reference's qualifications, which may be helpful to the Committee. A one-page personal statement from the nominee stating his/her research and/or creative objectives is also required. Nomination packages will not be returned to the campuses. Do not place the nomination package in a hard binder.

 

Submissions

Ten (10) copies of the nomination package should be submitted by the appropriate designee on the campus to the Office of the Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Attn: Ms. Sam Kanatzar, 518 Clark Hall, Columbia, Missouri 65211 by the appropriate designee on the campus.

 

Deadline

February 27 , 2009: Check with your campus designated office for their scheduled deadline.
