University of Missouri Decision Support Project Update

Project Goal: Deliver Data; Drive Decisions

Project Objective: Users will be able to easily access and use UM HR and Payroll data.

Success criteria: 80% of pilot project users will report that accessing HR and Payroll data is easier or much easier than before the implementation of the decision support project.

• HR Requirements teams define business requirements - October/November
• Project and campus work teams use tools and provide feedback – October/November/December
• Evaluate project – December
• Project Report – January
• Decision about conversion to Cognos Enterprise license - January

Technical

• Hardware for the ETL processes has arrived and is configured.
• Hardware for the Cognos reporting tools has arrived and is configured.
• Cognos has been purchased as our reporting tool. A limited number of Cognos licenses for ReportNet and PowerPlay have been purchased for the initial project.
• Cognos professional services consultant is working on site.
