The University of Missouri, through the UM South African Education Program Committee (UMSAEP), each year awards Henry Mitchell Scholarships in the amount of $2000 to four University of Missouri students, one from each UM campus, for study at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa, and to four University of the Western Cape students for study at campuses of the University of Missouri.
