Written Report Required
All damage to, or destruction of, any University-owned or leased building or facility or its contents resulting from any cause including fire, must be reported in writing.
Definition of Contents
Includes: Any University equipment, machinery, furniture and fixtures which are essential to the operation or use of the building or facility.
Does Not Include:
- Licensed "over the road" vehicles. These should be reported under Section 705 Accidents - University Vehicles unless the licensed vehicle is damaged by other than a collision. (If damaged by some means other than collision, the damage should be reported as defined in this section, using UMUW Form 69.)
- Any tools, supplies or other expendable items.
Written Report Required
Any personal injury sustained by any person in connection with the occurrence of the damage must be reported in writing.
