The University Integrated Data System (U/IDS) is a warehouse of University data designed to support planning, decision-making, and institutional research. In addition, it is to be used as the primary source for reporting ad hoc inquiries from the University General Officers and Board of Curators.
U/IDS contains 'snapshots' of historical data from University operational data systems, including the Financial Record System, the Payroll/Personnel System (PPS), Student Financial Aid (SAM), Grant Master (GM), and the Student Information System (SIS). It is unique in that it supports integration of data across these operational systems by using a common organizational structure defined and maintained by UM's Office of Planning & Budget.
