110.015 Maintenance and Repair Funding and Reporting

Executive Order No. 28, 4-12-94.

The University of Missouri recognizes the value of its physical assets and the need to maintain these assets in a good state of repair. To assure these assets are properly maintained, by fiscal year 1997 and thereafter, each campus will annually budget and expend a minimum of 1.5% of the replacement value of its buildings for on-going maintenance and repair (M&R), including auxiliary supported facilities.

  1. Use of Funds -- M&R funds shall be used to prevent deterioration or repair and replace deteriorated facilities and facilities-related equipment. Expenditures may include preventative maintenance, routine repair, and major repair and replacement. In addition, by fiscal year 1997 and thereafter, equipment expenditures shall be made annually at the rate of at least 10% of the cost of the current equipment inventory.

  2. Reporting -- Annually, each campus shall submit to the President the list of projects funded the previous fiscal year and amount funded for preventative maintenance programs; each campus will also report the actual expenditures on equipment for the prior fiscal year.
