Chapter 370: Academic Grievances

370.020 Faculty Grievances Relative to Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action

Executive Order No. 19, 9-17-79.

Under the authority vested in the President by the Board of Curators I do hereby make the following Order relative to Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action:

That paragraph XIII C1) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Program as submitted to the Board of Curators on October 14, 1977, be amended to read as follows:

Complaints involving faculty shall be processed only under the Faculty Grievance Procedures as adopted by the Board of Curators on May 25, 1979, Collected Rules and Regulations Section 370.010, or as said section may be amended from time to time.

1. That any complaints by Faculty involving Affirmation Action shall be processed under the Faculty Grievance Procedures, Collected Rules and Regulations Section 370.010.
    
2. That any other procedures providing for the resolution of Faculty Grievances as defined in Section 370.010 A are hereby repealed, including but not limited to, the Plan for Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action published in the Special Edition of Spectrum, Vol. 3, No. 3, dated February 3, 1976.
    
3. That this order shall be effective immediately for any grievance which has not on this date been formally filed under another Grievance Procedure. Any grievance so formally filed on or before this date shall follow the procedures under which filed, and shall not be entitled to any other grievance proceedings under the Faculty Grievance Procedures.
