220.060 Student Representative to the Board

Executive Order No. 35, April 1, 2007

 

  1. The Student Representative to the Board of Curators is appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Missouri Senate pursuant to Section 172.035 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, which provides: 
    1. The Student Representative to the Board of Curators must be a full-time student, who shall attend all meetings and participate in all deliberations of the Board.
    2. The Student Representative to the Board of Curators receives the same reimbursement for expenses as other members of the Board of Curators.
    3. Unless alternative arrangements for payment have been made and agreed to by the student and the University, the Student Representative shall have paid all student and tuition fees due prior to such appointment and shall pay all future student and tuition fees during the term of office when such fees are due.
       
  2. In recognition of such voluntary service to the University by a full-time student, the University shall provide the Student Representative to the Board of Curators an honorarium in a sum equal to the cost of twelve undergraduate student credit hours per semester at the beginning of each semester of service as Student Representative.
    1. The Student Representative to the Board of Curators shall not be deemed an employee of the University for any purposes whatsoever, and shall not act as an agent for the University nor enter into any agreement or incur any obligations on the University’s behalf or commit the University in any manner except as provided in Section 172.035, RSMo.
