These seminars are designed for faculty and staff 10 years or less from retirement. The series as a whole is intended as an overview of some of the financial aspects of retirement.

• Estate Planning - Learn about estate planning, health care directives, living wills, transferring assets
• Financial Planning - Learn about techniques to better plan for your financial future
• Social Security - Learn about how Social Security works, what to expect, when to contact them
• University Retirement Plan - An overview of the UM Retirement, Disability and Death Benefit Plan and receive a personalized estimate of your retirement benefits

2. University of Missouri Retirement, Disability and Death Benefit

Does retirement seem like a distant dream to you? If you have been at the University for at least 4 years and are more than 10 years away from retirement, you do not want to miss this opportunity. Your retirement benefits are an important component of your compensation and benefits package at the University. In this 1 ½ hour informative session, you will learn when one becomes vested in the University Retirement, Disability, and Death Plan, what benefits the Plan includes, and how these benefits are calculated.
