Hours worked in a workweek will also include all time off with pay. The exception is compensatory time off.

a. When a holiday is not worked, calculate the total hours in pay status minus 40 hours at regular rate: Total number of hours in pay status (includes holiday, vacation, sick leave, personal leave, etc.) minus 40 hours at regular rate and any compensatory time credited.
| XX | Hours in pay status |
| - 40 | Hours at regular rate |
| 00 | Subtotal |
| - CC | Hours of compensatory time |
| YY | Hours paid at overtime rate |
b. When a holiday is worked, calculate the total hours in pay status minus Holiday hours worked and minus 40 hours at regular rate and any compensatory time credited: Total number of hours in pay status less holiday hours worked, less 40 hours at regular rate and any compensatory time credited.
| XX | Hours in pay status |
| - 40 | Hours at regular rate |
| 00 | Subtotal |
| - ZZ | Holiday hours worked |
| - CC | Hours of compensatory time |
| YY | Hours paid at overtime rate |
c. When compensatory time is taken, calculate the total number of hours in pay status less compensatory hours credited:

| - CC | Compensatory credit |
| 00 | Subtotal |
| - 40 | Less 40 hours (if subtotal is 40 or greater) |
| YY | Overtime hours |
