HR-305 Service Awards

Summary

The University of Missouri service award program is a means of recognizing the valuable contribution made by the Administrative, Service & Support staff on behalf of the University. Awards are established in five (5) year increments and consist of fine jewelry or quality gifts.

Eligibility

Regular employees who have continuous service in increments of five (5) years are eligible for the service awards. Leaves of absence apply toward the computation of continuous service; however, service awards are not presented while an employee is on leave of absence.

Employees with primary titles that are administrative, service and support who are exempt from classification because their positions are primarily directing instructional or research activities are not eligible.

Procedure

The Service Award program is administered by the UM System Office of Human Resources. The campuses are responsible for making appropriate plans for presenting service awards to the employees on or close to the anniversary date or at least annually. Awards for 25 years of service and above are presented by the Chancellor's Office (President's Office for UM System).
