Human Resources - May 2005
- Training materials are being finalized for the Annual Salary Increase Application (ASIA). This tool will allow departments to input the annual salary increases into PeopleSoft HR, and it builds on the Excel spreadsheet method used last year. The data will be entered once, approved by HR offices and batch-loaded directly into PeopleSoft. Changes from last year include the ability to enter contracts and job earnings distribution changes.
- Benefits Administration Module parallel testing will take place the end of May. Data that is being entered into production will be entered into database HRBAQ80 and the results will be compared to make sure all event rules are correct and the results are as expected.
- Development of ARMS, the Absence Reporting Management System, continues. The lead programmer left on maternity leave a few weeks ahead of schedule (congratulations to Leah Allen on the birth of her daughter, Trillian Danielle!)
- eProfile, the first self-service PeopleSoft HR application, is under development. This will allow employees to view and change selected information about themselves on the Web, including addresses, emergency contact information, highest education level, etc. The delivered application is not intuitive and needs streamlining, in addition to adding other information like military status which is not included in the delivered application.
