Student Records/Student Financials (People Soft – UMR)

- Final testing for upgrade of Touchnet credit card software to a new release.
Continual work with UMR to assist as needed with their Resource 25 parallel testing and setup. Look into purchase of additional seats as needed for the other campuses to start work on Resource 25.
- Gather information and respond to numerous questions and meetings with the Price Waterhouse Coopers audit of UMR's PS implementation.
- Continue to clean up census reporting, adding new audit trails, fixing issues as they arise.
- Resolved issue with parental credit cards getting charged multiple times but students only getting credit for one payment (turned out to be an issue with the parents not entering the 4 digit year as they were instructed to do on the website and then continuing to submit another payment when told not to)
- Many hours spent on SF Balancing reports and SF to GL balancing reports, almost there.
- Work in progress on interface to NCAA Compliant Assistant software
- Completed several requests for enhancements or change to student self service, academic deficiency processing and academic standing processing.
- Demonstrated DARWIN and DARWeb to SA work group, attending DARS user conference, finishing up Course Cart and Course Preview options.
- Implemented SF Credit History processing, automated daily group post processing.
Student Records/Student Accounts Receivable (Legacy SIS/CSAR/SAM)
- Added several hundred high schools and colleges from the neighboring states to the SIS system tables to help with interface of data from PS to SIS
- Made changes to accommodate some changes at UMKC Bookstore.
- Identify dual high school students at UMKC and potential student number conflicts at UMSL in preparation for converting their existing student id to a new emplid. Still in the planning stages, no target date established yet.
- Completed the redo of several thousand 1098T's forms and filed with the IRS.
- Usual support for the summer and fall deferall of fee revenue to the new fiscal year in GL.
Housing Director (HD)
- Notify vendor of inability to assign student to a room from which a “no-show” student has been cancelled (MAY05 #2); vendor indicates that the software is “working as designed” and that this problem is being addressed in the new version (currently in beta testing); vendor recommends moving cancelled students to a special room setup especially for cancelled assignments or deleting the cancelled assignments entirely; delete cancelled “no-show” assignments on UMKC campus so rooms can be assigned to other students.
- Assist MU ResLife’s programmer in getting the appropriate access to the data and tools needed to accomplish her activities; provide technical assistance as needed.
- Modify program used to format financial data for PeopleSoft (PS) Group Post (USRL1010) to allow charges and credits, creating a separate file for each type as required by PS.
- Coordinate with UMR ResLife and Production Support the switchover of DORM address generation between Winter2005 and Summer2005 timeframes.
- Report error to vendor (MAY05 #3) because filtering criteria does not work correctly with UMR custom student attribute (RY05RenewalCode); further investigation reveals that some of the data has an extra space at the end (HD does not ignore the extra space at the end even though the rest of the word matches).
- Report error to vendor (MAY05 #4) that occurred when testing out the functionality to move students to the History Database (some students were lost and UMKC data was written to a UMR database).
- Work with Production Support to figure out why printed output from the USRL1010 program was showing up in the report for the USRL1001 program (wrong control card was associated with USRL1001 in Tidal job scheduling software).
Legacy ResLife
- Modify programs in the MU autoassignment process to edit for honors eligibility (USSIRL15), to add FIG and LC values to report and to update list of hand-assigned FIGs/LCs (USSRL18); contact ResLife Office about halls needing a Quiet indicator so autoassign will search them for quiet rooms.
- Modify program that edits ‘FIG ##’ and ‘LEARN ##’ data against each other (USSRM42) to allow for missing data of either type.
- Add new field to space database to hold semi-suited room number; write program to update new field with data file and coordinate with Production Support scheduling of this job; add new field to CICS inquiry and update screens.
- Modify programs and several assignment letters (USSRL72, USSRL80) to correctly print for suite rooms with up to four roommates.
- Write new program to extract data fields for mail-merge letters to be sent to students in semi-suited rooms (USSRN0)
