Web Application Overview

The University of Missouri created the Web Application system to provide University employees access to various types of information through the World Wide Web, including employee information, student information, email address searches, and PeopleSoft financial data. For the purpose of this documentation, we will focus mainly on the connection between the Web Applications and the PeopleSoft General Ledger database.

 

The Web Application system has the following features:

  • Provides one convenient location for access to commonly used applications.
  • Entry/use is restricted to authorized individuals. Users must be granted access by their campus Accounting office.
  • Allows more flexibility and ease in running reports, performing searches, and making entries than in the PS panels.
Web Application Access

As a University of Missouri employee, you can use certain Web applications after being granted access by your campus Accounting office.

  1. Go to the MIS Web Applications website - https://webapps.umsystem.edu/.
  2. Click on Web Applications.

  1. At prompt, enter User Name and Password and click OK.

  1. Select one of the listed options by clicking on it. Note: Your menu may have different options, depending on the access you have been given.
