What is PeopleSoft eProcurement

 

PeopleSoft eProcurement is an innovative program designed to provide a streamlined electronic tool for use by University employees to create requests for purchases. In addition to non-catalog requests that must be reviewed by Procurement Services a "virtual marketplace" comprised of a wide range of products from which to compare and choose has been created. This was made available by seamlessly integrating SciQuest's catalog function with an improved version of our PeopleSoft purchasing module. The virtual market place, which affords end users a "one-stop" shopping experience, is referred to as Show-Me Shop. There are many suppliers which the University does business with on a consistent basis. Procurement Services has negotiated or in many cases re-negotiated contracts with these vendors and have made them a part of the Show-Me Shop on-line catalog buying option. Items include, but are not limited to, office supplies, scientific supplies, and computer equipment.
