The University of Missouri System has entered into a new office supply contract with Staples. The new discounted pricing went into effect on August 3 and is already reflected in Show Me Shop. The contract is the result of a competitive bid processed by E&I Cooperative, a cooperative dedicated to higher education. Based on the buying power of over 3,500 members of this cooperative, University of Missouri users will realize additional cost savings. There are even greater discounts when switching to Staples brand products.
The new contract includes a core list of 11,000 net priced items, with pricing on most items held firm for each calendar year. Some paper and toner pricing will be adjusted quarterly. The balance of the items will be market based pricing and will be updated weekly based on automated reviews of competitor pricing. In addition to Office Supplies, the new contract also includes a Promotional Products category. More information about how to purchase promotional items will be forthcoming.
When shopping through Show Me Shop, you will continue to have free shipping and desktop delivery. The minimum order size is being evaluated but currently remains at $25. Any changes to that amount will be communicated before put into place.
