Units of the University Police are located on each of the university's campuses. The service and assistance of the campus police force is available to all university employees and students.
The fundamental mission of the University Police force is to provide the leadership and professional support required to sustain and improve the university’s efforts to develop a balanced police-university community effort against any lawlessness or disorderly conduct that could interfere with the general mission of the university.
Employees are encouraged to contact University Police whenever it is necessary to report the following occurrences: loss or theft of either personal or university-owned property; the commission or potential commission of a crime on campus; possible crisis situations and/or any problems related to traffic and parking.
Members of the University Police will present programs on crime prevention to individual departments upon request.
