Dr. Gordon H. Lamb, Interim President of the University of Missouri, continues the 2007 University Unity tour in Warrensburg today (Monday, November 26). Dr. Lamb will make a joint luncheon presentation with Dr. Aaron Podolefsky, President of University of Central Missouri.

The presidents will discuss the common missions of Missouri's public higher education institutions, including teaching, service and accountability. This fall, Missouri's public higher education leaders are focusing on a collaborative plan to increase graduates in the health care professions to meet the needs of the state.

Dr. Lamb and Dr. Podolefsky are to appear together during a luncheon for community leaders beginning at 11:30 a.m. today in UCM's Elliott Union Ballroom. This is the second consecutive year the University of Missouri's president has joined presidents of other four-year institutions on their campuses to discuss how they work together to help meet the state's goals and needs.

Dr. Lamb and his public higher education counterparts have also scheduled University Unity events upcoming at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph; Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville; Truman State University in Kirksville; and on the four University of Missouri campuses, in Columbia, Kansas City, Rolla and St. Louis. The first University Unity event was held this fall in Springfield with Missouri State University.
