The University of Missouri closed on the sale of 143 acres in Lawrence County, Mo., to the City of Mount Vernon on February 5, 2008 for the University of Missouri Health Care. The purchase was authorized by the University of Missouri Board of Curators on November 30, 2007. The property was purchased for $560,000.
