The University of Missouri will conduct a news conference in Rolla on Friday afternoon, April 6, 2007, to introduce its interim president.
The news conference will be held in the Ozark Room, on the second floor of the Havener Center at the University of Missouri-Rolla. The news conference will happen upon conclusion of a 1 P.M. closed meeting of the UM Board of Curators. Media are advised to arrive at the news conference site before 1 P.M. because of uncertainty about when the closed meeting will end.
Participants will include the newly named interim president, along with Don Walsworth of Marceline, chairman of the UM Board of Curators, and UM President Elson S. Floyd, who is stepping down to become president of Washington State University.
