The University maintains its teaching, research and public service activities in accordance with established schedules and operational demands. To this end, the suspension or cancellation of classes or the temporary suspension of campus operations will be avoided whenever possible.
AUTHORITY TO CANCEL CLASSES OR SUSPEND OPERATIONS
The Chancellors in coordination with the President have the authority to cancel classes or suspend campus operations in the event of severe weather or other emergency.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
All announcements of changes in operations will be released by the Chancellor's Office.
NOTE: University of Missouri-Columbia and UM System announcements will be coordinated so only one announcement is made.
