The Executive Consultant, Finance delivers expert financial leadership and consultation to the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of MU Health Care specifically related to the Capital Region Medical Center location. This role requires leveraging extensive financial expertise and historical knowledge to support critical decision-making, optimize financial performance, and enhance operational processes.
Collaborate closely with the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of MU Health Care to develop and refine the hospital's financial strategy, utilizing historical financial data and insights to inform future objectives.
Serve as a repository of institutional financial knowledge, drawing upon historical financial records, budget data, and past financial challenges to provide context for decision-making and process improvement.
Conduct in-depth analysis of historical financial reports, budgets, and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making. Identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and CEO, providing insights and recommendations rooted in historical financial perspectives. Offer guidance on how historical financial processes can be enhanced.
Assist in preparing financial materials for board meetings, incorporating historical financial data and insights to provide a comprehensive overview of the institution's financial history and performance.
Leverage historical relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster positive collaboration and enhance the hospital's financial reputation.
Oversee and lead special financial projects and initiatives as directed by the President, using historical financial data to shape project scope, objectives, and expected outcomes.
Utilize historical knowledge of compliance requirements and past financial regulatory challenges to guide the President in mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to financial regulations within the healthcare sector.
Collaborate in developing and delivering clear and effective financial communication strategies, incorporating historical financial perspectives to align with the hospital's mission and values.

Proven experience in healthcare leadership or consulting roles, with a demonstrated ability to apply historical insights.
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory compliance and healthcare trends, with a historical perspective.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of Capital Region Medical Center leadership, finance, and operations.
Supervision is received from the Chief Financial Officer, MU Health Care.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
