The Executive Consultant, President to the Chief Executive Officer, MU Health Care provides strategic counsel and support for the Capital Region Medical Center. This role is responsible for helping the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) make informed decisions, develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensure effective communication, and draw upon historical knowledge of the institution.
Collaborate with the MU Health Care CEO to develop and refine the hospital's strategic plan, leveraging historical data and insights. Incorporate past financial and operational performance to inform future objectives.
Serve as a repository of institutional memory, drawing upon historical financial data, process documentation, and past challenges to inform decision-making and process improvement.
Analyze historical financial reports, budgets, and trends to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making. Identify opportunities to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
Act as a trusted advisor to the MU Health Care CEO, providing insights and recommendations based on historical perspectives and lessons learned. Offer guidance on how historical processes can be improved.
Assist in preparing materials for board meetings. Draw upon historical financial and operational data to provide context for decision-makers.
Leverage historical relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster positive collaboration and enhance the hospital's reputation. Oversee and lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the President, using historical data to inform project scope and objectives.
Leverage historical knowledge of compliance requirements and past regulatory challenges to guide the President in mitigating risks and maintaining adherence to healthcare regulations.
Assist in developing and delivering clear and effective communication strategies, integrating historical perspectives to align with the hospital's mission and values.
May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
Experience in healthcare leadership or consulting roles, with an ability to apply historical insights.
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory compliance and healthcare trends, with a historical perspective.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of Capital Region Medical Center leadership, finance, and operations.
Supervision is received from the Chief Executive Officer, MU Health Care.

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
