Nature of Work

Directs the business operations of the assigned department, which may include facilities, staffing, programs, finance/budgeting, marketing, investigation and training.

  • Explains policies and procedures to advise and assist others, the team and/or unit chair/director

  • Oversees and guides the processes

  • May perform some of the work supervised/managed

  • May serve as a representative for the functional unit

  • Applies operational business practices and coordinates with other closely related areas inside the function to improve efficiency

  • May provide input to short-term plans for the function

  • Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems

  • Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the Finance and Business function

  • Explains information, conveys performance expectations and handles sensitive issues

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
