Nature of Work

Provides oversight and coordination of a Geographic Information System (GIS) and/or Global Positioning System (GPS) and related automated systems. May develop and manage related projects and/or present and publish information about the projects.

  • Performs routine tasks as assigned using existing procedures

  • Prepares studies and reports that assist senior level associates

  • Performs a variety of standard assignments and responsibilities and makes recommendations for improvement/efficiency, as necessary

  • Conducts various analyses, reports and research based on specialized procedures

  • Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems

  • Analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments

  • Has limited impact on own work team

  • Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet established deadlines

  • Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions, and ensures understanding

  • Develops working relationships with immediate, related teams

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

  • Possesses conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within the Research function

  • Applies general research knowledge developed through education and experience
