Provides technical assistance to university professional veterinary staff during routine health examinations, treatments and operational procedures on animals.
Understands how tasks/activities relate to others on the team and how the team integrates with other related, similar teams
Organizes and completes structured assignments according to priorities and direction from veterinary professionals and/or supervisor
Provides technical assistance to professional staff during routine analysis or sample taking
Performs routine cleaning of work facilities to ensure safety
Evaluates and selects solutions from established options/procedures
Administers standardized medical treatments as prescribed by professionals (i.e. gives injections, administer IV's, and provides fluid administration, local treatments and other standardized procedures)
Impacts own team through the quality of the services (e.g., cleans treatment rooms) or information provided
Communicates with others through the regular exchange of information, ranging from routine to complex
Maintains records and verifies appropriate paperwork is in compliance with regulatory requirements
Works under general supervision, as needed, and manages own workload
Graduation from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
Licensure as a Registered Veterinary Technician in the State of Missouri, or eligibility to obtain Missouri Licensure within 6 months after start date.
Utilizes working knowledge and learned skills to perform various activities for the job
Possesses basic knowledge of specific processes and procedures needed to perform assignments within own work area
