The Associated Students of the University of Missouri is constantly looking for new talent. The more people we have involved, the more likely we’ll be successful in our efforts to improve the college experience for Missouri’s students. There are multiple ways to get involved:
(1) State Internship Program — The state internship program is one-of-its-kind. Through twice-weekly trips up to the Missouri Capitol throughout the Spring Semester, ASUM interns have the unparalleled opportunity to engage with the political process. After being briefed on our issues platform and trained, our interns meet one-on-one with lawmakers in an attempt to earn their vote on important pieces of legislation. For the 2017-18 year, ASUM is looking for 6 students from across the University of Missouri System to work with us in Jefferson City. Applications are NOW OPEN. Click here to begin.
(2) Chapter Involvement — If you’re interested in getting involved on the local level, your campus chapter is brimming with opportunities to do so. From helping register students to vote, getting them to the polls, to bringing lawmakers to your campus and hosting legislator call days, the chapters offer a wide variety of opportunities to lead and engage. For more information, contact your Campus Director. Contact information for your Chapter President and student representatives can be found on our ASUM Leadership page.
