Art Builds a Positive Impression with Students
Almost 40 high schools sophomore visited the University of Missouri-Kansas City toward the end of the fall semester. UMKC's Department of Art and Art History and PREP-KC, Kansas City's urban education intermediary, led the college immersion program to prepare artistically inclined students for higher education. Students learned about photography, printmaking and multimedia. Several students left the tour talking about applying for scholarships and eventually pursuing an education at the university.
