Medicinal Chemistry Group Serves St. Louis Science Community
The Medicinal Chemistry Group is a startup that collaborates with St. Louis-area researchers to provide chemistry work for local labs. The group was recently added to the University of Missouri-St. Louis and was put together after Pfizer closed its St. Louis location and donated the equipment to the group and the Center for World Heath & Medicine at Saint Louis University. “We started by supporting the Center for World Health & Medicine, which works on orphaned and neglected diseases like river blindness and childhood diarrhea which affects populations in mostly underdeveloped countries,” said John Walker, director of MCG, and a former Pfizer supervisor. The group is eager to support local groups needing pharmaceutical and synthetic chemistry workPosted on Mar 07, 2011.
