What is annual enrollment?
Annual enrollment is the period each year during which employees are able to make changes to the options selected for university insurance plans. Because the University offers you the option of paying your portion of insurance premiums before your income is taxed, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires us to allow changes only one time per year--except in instance where you have experienced a Qualifying Family/Employment Status Change. Generally speaking, the University offers a two-week annual enrollment period during the fall for active employees to make changes. The two-week period immediately following is generally when retiree annual enrollment occurs.
