Karen Hebert is an assistant professor in the department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Missouri. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in cognitive rehabilitation, mental health practice, and research methods. She also supervises and mentors graduate students working on research projects. Her research interests include using psychophysiology measures of emotional processing to explore the role of impulsivity in obesity and eating disorders. She has presented at national and international conferences on the topic of learning in Parkinson’s disease as well as emotional processing of food. Dr. Hebert received her doctorate in Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Missouri in 2012.
