Dr. Pérez-Anzaldo, a native of Mexico City, graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2006. Her areas of specialty include: Twentieth Century Mexican Literature, Contemporary Latin American Literature and Culture, Latin American Poetry, Chicano and U.S. Latino Narrative, Film studies, and finally, Women and Queer Studies. Pérez-Anzaldo has published a variety of articles in prestigious literary journals and has published a book titled: Memorias pluridimensionales en la narrativa mexicana. Las mujeres judíomexicanas cuentan sus historias. México: Ediciones Eón/The University of Texas at El Paso, 2009. She has presented her articles in a vast number of conferences within the United States, Mexico and Germany. In the summer of 2009, she was invited by the University Studies Abroad Consortium Program to teach a Latin American Literature course at the Universidad Andrés Bello in Santiago de Chile. Since 2010, she has worked as an assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
