Director, Talent Management

Jill H. Wood, Ph.D., is the Director of Talent Management at the University of Missouri System (UM). Her role is to consult and collaborate with members of the university community both at system and campus levels on human resources and talent management matters.

Prior to joining the Talent Management team, Dr. Wood served as the Program Manager and Co-PI for Mizzou ADVANCE, an NSF grant-funded project that promoted gender equity for faculty in MU’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics departments. She also coordinated international student services at University of Missouri – Columbia’s (MU) International Center.

Before joining the university, Dr. Wood worked as a management consultant in the Strategic Change practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting where she helped public- and private-sector organizations implement strategic and technological changes as well as employee development initiatives.

Dr. Wood has a doctoral degree from MU’s Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis program, where she is an adjunct assistant professor. She earned a Master of Education degree from Harvard University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Briar Cliff College.
