The University wants you to get more out of your annual performance appraisal and enrich the dialogue you have with your supervisor or manager. With that in mind, we would like to update you on changes to the annual performance appraisal process beginning this year.
First, you will now be able to use an online performance appraisal tool instead of keeping track of everything on paper. This online tool is called myPerformance-it is an intuitive and easy to use software program that will streamline performance appraisals.
Second, both you and your supervisor or manager will have access to training and other resources that will not only teach you how to use the tool, but also prove strategies on how to get the most out of your performance appraisal. The training will also cover tips on getting more timely feedback on your performance rather than waiting until the annual performance appraisal. You will be receiving more information regarding dates and accessibility of training in the spring.
Finally, the forms and processes will be streamlined among departments. Integrating the various forms and processes that departments currently use will help ensure that performance appraisals are consistent. Please note that the apprisal time period has been updated--reviews will now start on April 15 and end in June.
Human Resources is excited to offer you these new tools and resources! If you have any questions about the new performance appraisal tool, processes or training, please contact Shannon Albright (884-8209; firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jill Wood (882-0069; email@example.com) in Human Resources.
