The University of Missouri System strives to protect personal information as well as institutional data and the information systems on which such data resides. Phishing and other cybercrime activities, which can lead to loss or exposure of sensitive data as well as identity theft, are a constant threat.
Multifactor Authentication
The University has implemented Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to combat online threats. MFA is an added layer of protection that verifies your identity by using additional devices or applications.
Offsite Access
Employees sometimes need to work offsite and require a variety of online tools and services to stay connected and productive. Find resources for working offsite and tips for traveling.
Password Management
Using strong passwords is essential to safeguarding your information and protecting against threats like phishing and identity theft.
Security Keys
A security key is a device that works as another form of identity verification.
Login Problems
Login Problems
If you are unable to log in to your account, there are steps you can take to regain access. These steps will vary depending on if you are a current student or employee, or a former student.
Current Students and Employees
First, check the System Status page to make sure there aren't any known issues. If there are no system issues, you will need to reset your password.
If you have any problems resetting your password, of if you are experiencing other login-related issues, please contact your campus IT Help Desk.
Former Students
Complete the New User Setup process. At the end of the process, you will be prompted to create a new password to go with your University username.
A code will be sent to the phone number associated with your University account (once for New User Setup step 1, and another for New User Setup step 2) as part of the setup process. If you need to change the phone number on file, contact your campus IT staff.
Once you have completed New User Setup:
