Senate and House Make Progress:

This week, the Senate moved multiple bills to the House: 

SB890: Requires state departments to report on obsolete administrative entities, repeals certain administrative entities and repeals and reassigns duties for certain other administrative entities (Passed 30-0) 

  • SB994: Filing of income tax returns (Passed 28-2)
  • SB1020: Department of Revenue fee offices (Passed 30-0)
  • SB914: Sewage regulation (Passed 29-1)

The House sent over several bills to the Senate:

  • HB1866: Allows the director of the department of public safety to deny a peace officer license if an applicant is not a U.S. citizen or has had a license permanently revoked or suspended (Passed 101-36)
