Governor Parson delivered his annual State of the State Address, where he proposed some of the largest investments in higher education in decades. Governor Parson recommended a 7% higher education core funding increase and $275 million dollars towards transformational capital improvement projects at our public institutions of higher education.
The Boone County Mizzou Alumni Association held its annual forum, which several state legislators attended and gave remarks discussing the importance of Mizzou and their commitment to supporting higher education.

Subcommittee on Appropriations- Education
On Monday, January 23, 2023, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Education will hold an organizational meeting and will be given an overview by the Council on Public Higher Education, Missouri Community College Association, and the University of Missouri System. President Mun Choi is scheduled to testify at this hearing, where he will discuss some of the budgetary priorities of the University of Missouri System.
